"Making good use of Braille on pharma packaging!" Emballage Digest
September 5, 2022
The professional magazine Emballage Digest once again quotes the Autajon Group in its June 2022 Pharmacy file "Making good use of Braille on pharma packaging!" (N° 669).
Through this article, a real public health issue is approached as well as existing solutions. It's about the safety of visually impaired and blind people facing pharmaceutical packaging.
Emballage Digest also highlights that the regulations on Braille differ from one country to another. It is in this sense that the Autajon Group supports and advises each of its clients in order to guarantee a huge precision and an optimal positionning of the braille request , on the label or the folding carton:
We advise them on the possible positioning areas on the folding carton [...] Once the print proof is validated, we generate the appropriate and unique tool that hits the Braille on the folding case," explains Karine Pontoise-Villega, Marketing Manager at Autajon.
The Autajon Group, in its desire to always offer the best to its clients, has conducted several tests. It favours the silk-screen printing on labels, to secure the use of pharmaceutical packaging for visually impaired people:
The best possible technical solution validated after various tests, which allows a good hold on both single-layer labels and booklets," explains Ms. Pontoise-Villega.
